Caladium Festival

Visit the Caladium Festival in Lake Placid, Fl. Lake Placid is known as the Caladium caladiumcapital of the world. With an estimated 1200 acres planted, it supplies 98 percent of the world’s caladiums.

With approximately 40 varieties of white, red and pink plants along with many combinations of the colors. They are art work within themselves.

This is an annual event taking place every July.

Admission to the Caladium Festival is free and there is lots to see and do.  Of course you can buy caladiums and bulbs! There is a car and bike show, many food vendors, arts and crafts, beer garden, live entertainment and much more.

Don’t forget to visit our store, stop in, its air conditioned! Caladium Arts and Crafts Co-op at 132 E. Interlake Blvd, right in the middle of the festival. Unique arts and crafts.

Our shop will be serving lunch. Stop in, take a break from the heat and check out the menu.

Lake Placid is also known as the Town of Murals, that’s right MURALS! They are on many of the buildings. There are 46 murals and much more art work decorating the town. Not only do you get a festival but you get to tour all the murals.
