About Us

Unique Local Arts & Crafts

The Caladium Arts and Crafts Cooperative was created in 1992 by three Lake Placid, Florida artists: Carol Mills, Harriet Porter, and Suellen Robinson. They envisioned it as a place for local artists and crafters to display and sell their unique creations. It is now an artist-run gallery & classroom offering original, handcrafted arts and crafts for any person in your life or room in your house.

To support a creative life for all, the Caladium Arts & Crafts Co-operative, Inc. commits to championing policies and practices of cultural equality. We acknowledge and honor the fundamental value and dignity of all individuals. We pledge ourselves to creating and maintaining an environment that nurtures the creativity of all artists, crafters and students.

Our location has easy accessibility for wheel chairs in both our showroom and classroom. Our prices are lower than those in big city shops, though our quality is every bit as good. Bring your friends and spend a delightful time exploring our 10,000 square foot gallery. We have an ever-changing inventory of all kinds of arts and crafts at all different price points.
